Mission: Why the role exists (About the Role):

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manger who is excited about innovative healthtech products to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading Kameo’s engineering efforts as we continue to expand in our current market and deliver new products and features.

Responsibilities

• Establish best practices, processes and procedures for software development, quality assurance, data security and maintenance with the goal of enabling stable and scalable continued growth

• Work with company leadership to translate strategy and product requirements into comprehensive software strategy and development plans

• Collaborate closely with the product team – helping define product vision and roadmap to align with business objectives

• Manage the engineering team, oversee technical design reviews, and play a hands-on role in reviewing code as needed

• Oversee all aspects of Kameo’s engineering strategy, while partnering closely with the leadership team to help define priorities and working closely with product, design and ops teams to ensure priorities are executed upon efficiently

• Help lead (in partnership with the product team) Kameo’s cybersecurity efforts. This will include recommending various technical solutions to our platform and operations to help improve our security footing. It will also include managing our 3rd party cyber team and overseeing penetration tests and the execution of recommended improvements

Experience Profile: relevant past experience (Requirements)

• 8+ years experience building full-stack applications, ideally in the health-tech or laboratory / diagnostics space

• 2+ years experience recruiting, managing and leading world class software development teams, ideally at a high-growth start-up

• Passion for product excellence and experience working in organizations with strong collaboration between engineering, product, design, and business functions

• Strong ability to analyze requirements and identify unarticulated needs

• Strong understanding of full stack architecture and components; and can clearly articulate their purposes, uses, and limitations

• Experience holding a team of engineers accountable through hands-on collaboration throughout the execution process

• Demonstrated excellence in effectively scaling the engineering organization through hiring and organizational design

• Familiarity with NodeJS and Angular stacks

• Familiarity with UX concepts and considerations

• Experience with SQL databases

• Experience building resilient, scalable services

• Experience with development on a cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00-$230,000.00 per year
