What You’ll Be Doing

  • Execute full-cycle month-end close process, for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy with minimal supervision
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with all departments to maintain Project budgets, unit allocations, and cost recognition
  • Communicate directly with external parties, such as cost consultants, auditors, lenders, partners and lawyers to build strong relationships and timely deliveries
  • Guide Project Managers to ensure coding accuracy and in accordance with budgets. Raise early notice of budget variances. Hold training sessions as necessary for new PMs
  • Maintain strict payment draw schedule ensuring all draws are prepared and reviewed according to the standard process
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing department, and external law office to prepare each Project’s closing site record to support each unit closing statement
  • Maintain and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Oversee the processing of all payables, ensuring timely and accurate invoice approval and payment
  • Other responsibilities as required
What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation or working towards a CPA designation
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with some experience within project accounting
  • Preferred experience working within the Real Estate/Development industry
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (demonstrated experience developing templates and evaluating existing templates/spreadsheets for errors or improvements)
  • Excellent communication skills
