Our strong entrepreneurial spirit, together with a culture of empowerment, quality and innovation create opportunities to grow and succeed in an organization with a proud heritage and bright future.Position SummaryReporting to the Planning and Maintenance Control Manager, the Senior Maintenance Planner is responsible for all high-level Maintenance Visit planning ensuring the operations teams is set for success. The Senior Maintenance Planner plays a strategic role on defining the scope of work for company owned assets and validating work scopes from customers.Duties & Responsibilities
  • Generation of work scoped for maintenance and modifications visit for company owned assets based on customer requirements and Transport Canada regulations
  • Interface with Engineering or STC holders to obtain required approved engineering data for a maintenance visit and coordinate any required revision.
  • Review and approve the work package and work cards created by the maintenance planners, including routine work tasks, tooling, parts, and consumables lists, to ensure the work scope is fulfilled.
  • Develop a high-level work scope schedule considering the work sequence and milestones for work completion.
  • Support Production department during implementation of the schedule and provide technical expertise as requested.
  • Identify schedule challenges related to parts, tools, and engineering, and liaise with relevant departments to expedite solutions.
  • Provide Input to various departments to improve performance and ensure efficient and effective planning of work with Quality, Production, OH&S.
  • Receive feedback from the technicians regarding production and planning improvements.
Education And Professional Qualifications
  • AME Transport Canada License or Aviation related Diploma/Degree
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance/modification planning
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft manuals, service bulletins, STCs and ADs
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project within a Windows environment
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems
  • Q400 and or Twin Otter experience will be considered an asset
