As an Account Manager at Street Contxt, your role is to work closely with our customers throughout every step of their journey with us to drive rewarding experiences for our customers, and the growth of our accounts and business. The portfolio of accounts you will take ownership of includes some of the largest investment banks and brokerages on Earth. You will be responsible for building positive executive relationships with our customers and communicating the value of Street Contxt’s solutions; activities that will lead to expansion opportunities in the accounts you own.

You will act as an advisor and consultant externally, as well as a customer advocate internally at Street Contxt. This is a cross-functional role that requires collaboration with product, marketing, sales, and client services to bring forward the voice of our customer. We’re a small team, with big customers, and collaborating across teams to drive customer outcomes is a way of life for us.
Once up to speed on our systems, industry and customers, the team will look to you to ideate account plans and provide recommendations to key executive sponsors. Developing these recommendations will require you to call upon your understanding of the executive, customer insights from other accounts and the value that Street Contxt provides to their enterprise. Communicating these recommendations will draw upon your business acumen to succinctly speak to these executive’s pain points and the industry’s evolution.

Our customers are some of the largest and most influential enterprises in the world and solving their problems requires that we continually update our understanding of the Capital Markets, our customers’ challenges, and how we fit into the landscape of sell-side offerings. Additionally, you will be expected to become a product expert; understanding how Street Contxt’s products improve the quality of life for the individual end users, their managers, the broader enterprise in which they operate, and how to effectively convey our value proposition.

Thematic responsibilities

  • Expanding & saturating current accounts: Driving customer retention, renewals, upsells and expansion. Developing and communicating goal alignment and achievement with executive sponsors. Negotiating contracts, owning the renewal process, identifying areas for growth and expansion (users, new products/features, etc) and pursuing them.
  • Building stakeholder relationships: Managing and maintaining trusted, long-lasting relationships across your key accounts, stakeholders and executive sponsors. Building these relationships high and wide within the organization (relationship ROI) and providing quarterly updates on successes, areas of improvement, and next steps (in the form of QBRs).
  • Acting as internal expert on owned accounts: Serving as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts. Building and executing account plans that identify a clear path for growth opportunities and a focused strategy.
  • Collaborating with Customer Success: Supporting strategic accounts requires a strong team. You will work closely with CSMs to ensure your accounts are in good health and own the overall responsibility of maintaining health.
  • Representing our customers: Becoming the voice of the customer internally and creating a continuous feedback loop to advocate for our customers needs. Assisting with challenging customer requests or issue escalations as needed. Developing the ability to have difficult conversations with customers with ease.
  • Monitoring & evaluating account health: Managing customer activity, forecasting and tracking key account metrics (e.g. quarterly expansion opportunities and annual forecasts). Preparing reports on account status to communicate to internal leadership. Clearly communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Learning: Growing your knowledge of the industry and our customers; equipping yourself to evangelize Street Contxt as the industry, the problem and our technology evolve

Your know-how

  • You are an experienced B2B SaaS or software services Account Manager who can speak to the strategy, data, and indicators that point to success and failure at an account
  • You have experience building strategies for expansion and saturation at owned accounts, building and maintaining strong external senior stakeholder relationships and leveraging those relationships to expand the stakeholder network
  • You have experience selling to enterprise customers with multiple stakeholders
  • You are an exceptional communicator; you can champion products with customers and stakeholders, lead customer discussions and deliver complex ideas with poise
  • You have experience presenting complex summaries to internal and external senior stakeholders succinctly and have experience providing data-driven recommendations to stakeholders articulating ROI
  • You have a strong understanding of the enterprise stakeholder landscape; managing stakeholders through conflict resolution and decision-making with an awareness and/or judgement on when to call on your team for support
  • You have experience using data-driven approaches to ensure efficient engagement across a portfolio of customers and accounts
  • You are resilient, positive and action-oriented when facing challenging situations
  • You have a track record of exceeding expectations while juggling competing priorities

  • You have experience selling technology solutions to the Capital Markets industry
  • You have experience working in investment banking, FinTech and/or a SaaS startup
