The Department

Global Security Architecture and Engineering function provide enterprise security services to Invesco. This function is responsible for understanding requirements and mapping to security standards. This team establishes security roadmaps, reference architecture, and solutions to keep Invesco safe.

Your Role

Responsible to ensure that software and infrastructure are crafted and implemented to the highest security standards. To act as a domain expert who understands the technical needs of the security environment and aligns those needs to the overall IT and business strategies within the organization. To assist teams, maintain and enforce conformity with technical standards, security requirements as well as addressing regulatory compliance-related issues. As a security engineer, the individual will be a member of the Global Information Security team ensuring that Invesco’s landscape is secure.

You will be responsible for:
  • Develop and implement security solutions based on the IVZ standards and according to the NIST framework
  • Defining design requirements for the entire solution - Cloud, Security orchestration, firewall, application security, SIEM, IAM with other solutions in deployment, Data security at rest and in-transit, continuous security monitoring
  • Contribute in crafting solutions along with Security Design and Architecture
  • Ensure adequate metrics and documentation of on projects
  • Assist team members in technical implementation, drive problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Provide appropriate maintenance to responsible security devices (patches, upgrades, improvements)
  • Provide periodic updates, timelines, and delivery of various projects assigned
  • Think and act strategically. Evaluate and implement solutions that are future proof
  • Research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements
  • Keep abreast of current trends, technologies, regulations, threats, etc; provide technical support to security teams, support, and other technology and operational teams
  • Provide domain expertise on system security requirements and architecture of Network Security Solutions
  • Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends
The experience you bring:
  • 5+ years experience in technical Security with exposure to various infrastructure, cloud security, and application verticals
  • Some experience deploying Security Technologies inclusive of SIEM, Cloud, Firewalls, Endpoint Security, AppSec, IAM platforms
  • Hands-on experience in performing Configuration cloud security platforms, network, and endpoint security technologies
  • Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, and technical security solutions (CASB, SOAR, Firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, FAM, and others)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications
  • Requires solid understanding of Windows administration, Active Directory, domain structures, user authentication, and GPO implementation
  • Knowledge of or experience with industry compliance standards such as ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPPA, SOC1/2, etc.
  • Knowledge of common Internet protocols, applications, and security threats
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields; or equivalent work experience
  • Vendor Certifications from IBM/Symantec/AWS/Qualys preferred
  • SANS/CompTIA/ISC2 certification desired
