Summary of responsibilities

The Screener contributes to the safety of patients, visitors and staff by ensuring compliance with infection control practices and policies at the two hospital entrances. Duties include: greeting and screening for symptoms upon entry, ensuring hand hygiene and mask requirements are met, directing and organizing waiting patients, answering questions and assisting patients and visitors.

Requirements of the job

• Must be able to work a mix of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts, including some weekend and night shifts
• Must be able to wear a mask and protective eyewear throughout the shift, (desk is also behind a plexiglass shield).

Excellent customer service/public relations skills
Positive Attitude

• Demonstrated work history of reliability and punctuality

Bilingualism is an asset
