POSITION:Sales and Marketing Coordinator (Agriculture)

REPORTS TO:General Manager

LOCATION:16351 Aquilini Avenue, Pitt Meadows, BC

This position will be of interest to a sales professional who is interested in becoming a permanent resident in Canada as a higher-skilled agricultural worker.

SUMMARY:

Golden Eagle Farms is a subsidiary of the Aquilini Group (aquilini.com); a diversified family business founded in Vancouver, BC more than 50 years ago with roots in the real estate development and construction industry. Our most significant holding is the Vancouver Canucks hockey team, but the company also owns and manages an international real estate portfolio that includes commercial and residential properties, hotels, golf courses, vineyards and blueberry and cranberry farms. In addition to these ongoing pursuits, AG has expanded its holdings to include assets in the sports & entertainment, renewable energy, aquaculture, tourist attractions, restaurants and food & beverage industries.

Our people are the key to our success. Our farm has been approved by Service Canada to hire a higher-skilled foreign worker into this agricultural stream position which then allows the worker to apply for permanent residence after 36 months. All initial work permit fees and travel costs will be paid by Golden Eagle Farms.

This specific sales and marketing coordinator position is with our farm (geberries.com) in Pitt Meadows British Columbia. The successful applicant will be provided with farm housing. There is also an option to live offsite, but the worker will need personal transportation (car, motorcycle, bike) to travel to the farm office at 16351 Aquilini Avenue, Pitt Meadows BC because there is no public transportation to this location. The farm office is 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned from time to time)

  • Coordinate our social media accounts by implementing strategies and tactics that grow our followers, engage and retain them, and help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our farm.
  • Work closely with senior Aquilini marketing professionals to grow the fruit brand and to increase the industry exposure of our fresh and IQF fruit using social media and other marketing channels.
  • Produce ads, e-newsletters, brochures, websites, blogs, tweets, videos, and other marketing tools and tactics with our team.
  • Work directly with clients and respond to inquiries from around the world, including buyers, wholesalers, brokers, and retailers to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Track all sales and analyze data for trends and current and projected market conditions.
  • Analyze research data, interpret results and design summary reports.
  • Support feasibility studies and business development strategies.
  • Other administrative duties that support the sales, marketing, and delivery of farm products.

REQUIRMENTS:

  • This job requires a move to Canada. The farm office location is in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia (45 minutes from downtown Vancouver)
  • Candidates must have excellent written and oral English Language ability and must possess IELTS overall Band 7.5 or above or equivalent qualification.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, or agriculture or equivalent.
  • Sales and Marketing experience, preferably with food products and/or business to business marketing.
  • Command of best practices and trends in social media marketing.
  • Understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.
  • Strong writing skills with solid understanding of grammar and great attention to detail.
  • A sincere interest in agriculture and farming. Knowledge of agricultural issues from an industry or farming perspective would be beneficial.
  • Experience and knowledge of food industry best practices is helpful.
  • Team player who takes direction well and gets the job done on deadline with minimal supervision.
  • Functional knowledge of graphic design software, video creation tools and email marketing software.
  • Computer and technology knowledge. Candidates must have knowledge of MS Office.
