Taber Home and Farm Center is looking for a Sales Agronomist to work closely with producers in Southern Alberta.

Taber Home and Farm Center is an independent agricultural retailer servicing Southern Alberta since 1983. Our goal is to provide strong agronomic solutions for both irrigated and dryland producers with their vast variance of crops. Southern Alberta is home to five potato processing plants along with sugar beet, bean, corn & pea processing.

Position description:

· The successful candidate will visit producers on farm and deliver full agronomic solutions for their farm.

· The successful candidate will report to the general manager while working closely with the other Ag team members.

· A company vehicle, computer and cell phone will be provided.

Requirements:

· Applicants must have a general understanding of agronomic science and how it relates to row crops.

· Candidates must have good agronomic, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Candidates must be team and goal oriented and able to work independently.

· Preference will be given to candidates with agricultural degrees, diplomas or equivalent experience.

· Certified Crop Advisor status would be preferable though not necessary.
