This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

We are seeking a Responsible Care (RC) Specialist who will be responsible for development of standardized procedures, creation and execution of comprehensive change plans and support NOVA’s RC initiatives. This position will report to the Responsible Care Governance & Systems Leader.

This position could be located at any of the following NOVA Chemicals locations: Calgary, Alberta; Red Deer, Alberta; Sarnia, Ontario; or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

You Will Use Your Expertise To:
Provide facilitation, technical support and lead stakeholder engagement for procedures development and review process
Develop and maintain training to support procedures
Manage and maintain the Enablon (Responsible Care Information Management System) system
Identify and define new RC information system needs and system enhancements for development and implementation
Represent NOVA Chemicals on committees and networks with industry peers and associations
Work in parallel with the change management team (RC Implementation Advisor, Communications, etc.)
Participate in change analysis and impact assessment and provide recommendations and strategies to address gaps
Participate in the development of change management plans and execute on approved plans at the site
Support the design and delivery of stakeholder communications for change management
Identify key milestones, maintain and track implementation KPIs
Oversee RC web administration and document control administration
Manage and action RC Feedback Log

What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Natural or Applied Sciences or equivalent with a minimum 8+ years of practical experience or 2 year technical school diploma with 10+ years of related practical experience
Formal change management training or willingness to acquire
Knowledge of change management methodologies or approaches
Demonstrated commitment to Responsible Care ® and implementing change
Experience supporting communications and/or training for projects would be considered an asset
Proven time management and organizational skills
Experience with coordinating and influencing resources
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others
Strong team player who demonstrates effective relationship building skills
Ability to work independently with flexibility to meet unique site needs
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint

Additional Information:
Relocation will NOT be considered for this position
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
This role requires up to 20% travel
The successful candidate is required to provide proof of a valid driver’s license
