Resident Care Manager – Villa Marie, Red Deer AB Temporary Full Time 12 Month Contract

Covenant Care is seeking a Resident Care Manager to guide and facilitate the care of seniors at Villa Marie, our continuing care center in Red Deer, Alberta.

About the role

As Resident Care Manager, you would be part of the Villa Marie leadership team, reporting to the Site Administrator. With accountability for the management and direction of continuing care services, you would place emphasis on cultivating a dedicated, fulfilled team that collaborates with residents, families, and each other to offer high-quality, safe care. You would draw on the values of our organization to make person-centered decisions that promote choice and dignity and that embrace diversity.

The Resident Care Manager will be:

Innovative and solutions-oriented— coordinate holistic person-centered, high quality programs that meet the unique needs of residents

Values-inspired leader—you engage people in decisions that impact them and foster teams that love working together

Astute—you understand how complexity of the health care system, with working knowledge of service contracts, Continuing Care Health Service Standards, accommodation audits, Accreditation standards, and working within a unionized environment

Integrity—you are honest in your interactions and work with people to resolve challenges and conflict

Compassionate—you navigate stressful situations with care, always reserving our commitment to serve residents and each other

Accountable—you have demonstrated experience in leading a team in a health care environment and in making decisions based on organizational values and priorities

Educated—you have a Bachelor of Nursing Degree (Master degree, preferred) and are registered with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta

Experienced—you have been in a nursing leadership role for at least three years directly supervising staff and you understand the dynamics and complexity of seniors’ care and a unionized environment

Protected—you are vaccinated against COVID-19 and all other required communicable diseases under Covenant Care’s Occupational Health and Safety policy
