SOCAN is seeking a Reproduction Rights Client Relations Executive to provide superior customer service to SOCAN Reproduction Rights publishers and rightsholders by proactively managing the administration of their catalogues and ensuring the accuracy and timely payment of their reproduction rights royalties. This position requires you to work closely with the Licensing, Distribution and Documentation teams to maintain this high level of service and the retention of our clients.

Overall, this position will be the external face of reproduction rights for SOCAN and the internal champion to all of SOCAN. This role will report to the Vice President, Reproduction Rights Operation but will work and partner closely with the entire SOCAN RR team.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION
You will contribute to “raising the bar for music rights,” by:
  • Developing “white glove” strategies to ensure the most effective onboarding approach to improve and create a positive experience for publishers and rights holders
  • Acting as a reference for the Account Executives and Operations to provide exceptional customer service to our clients
  • Providing advice and support on all aspects of top publishers and rights holders relationships
  • Building rapport, trust, and confidence with clients
  • Handling day to day reproduction rights inquiries from external clients
  • Assisting with inquiries from licensees (including sync and Pay-As-You-Press) as needed
  • Providing RR expertise in improving SOCAN responses to inquiries, including additional training for employees, proposing enhanced business processes, and improved communication tools
  • Providing information and guidance to high profile clients and their managers or representatives throughout SOCAN processes
  • Other duties as required

WORKWEEK
  • 35-hour work week over 5 days
  • Summer Hours - possibility of a 4-day work week from May-August.
