In this role, you have the opportunity to join an exciting segment of the healthcare industry and join one of the world’s leading healthcare companies. You will be part of the Ethicon sales team in British Columbia and through relationship building with customers, will uncover critical care abouts and determine how Ethicon’s products and solutions can support our customers’ needs.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Call on existing and prospective customers remotely, serving as the main point of contact for the Ethicon portfolio; develops new accounts and grows existing accounts within established geographic territory to achieve a sales quota and maintain/grow sales and market share in this customer group.
  • Uncover customer needs and build trust with customers by defining and implementing strategies that help them achieve their objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in assigned accounts through regular and effective follow-up through phone, e-mail, video-conferencing and direct mailing; identify potential gaps that need to be addressed with staff on safe use of Ethicon products; develop and implement plans to address identified gaps.
  • Provide product and procedural technical support and service, including staff in-servicing and educating surgeons and other clinical customers on the safe and effective use of Ethicon products; support all clinical and commercial questions (e.g. products, indications, supply chain).
  • Gain customer insights via analytics on customer accounts (product portfolio, product usage, order frequency) to identify customer needs, optimization and sales opportunities.
  • Provide insights on customers, promotional programs, and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace. They will interact with sales and marketing management to refine product and market initiatives.

Qualifications
  • University degree (business or health sciences preferred) is required and 3+ years work experience; experience in telesales or customer service and/or a proven track record in sales is an asset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships over the phone
  • Strategic mentality and big-picture orientation
  • Independent, structured working style with strong results orientation while demonstrating ability to collaborate with/work through team members to achieve a shared objective
  • Analytical thinking and creative problem solving to understand and apply customer insights to develop/implement customer solutions
  • Medical knowledge is an asset; needs to be able to understand clinical data and effectively communicate clinical information to customers
