Responsibilities Of The Position Include The Following

Review production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements.

Coordinates the department activities to minimize downtime, makes efficient use of manpower and eliminates recurrent problems.

Examines material to verify conformance to specifications.

Reads mining laws and safety regulations, and issues directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations.

Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

Computes amount of material required to complete job demand.

Monitors and controls movement of material on automated conveyor system.

Develops employees understanding of the cement manufacturing process on an ongoing basis.

Promotes safe work practices and provides resources to assure that equipment and personnel operate in a safe manner.

Monitors and controls blasting safety through the plant.

Promotes environmental awareness and assures that equipment operates in accordance with plant environmental goals.

Develops and maintains preventative maintenance on all rolling stock, Monitors road maintenance to reduce tire costs.
