As part of the Trillium project based in Ottawa, we are looking for a qualified Quality Control Coordinator – Utilities. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing and following quality metrics to be used to ensure all subcontractors and construction work is completed to the quality plan in place.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Provide Support and assist the Quality Management Team in on-going quality training
• Provide support to Quality Management in developing, implementing, and maintaining required quality processes and procedures
• Work with quality assurance coordinators and leads for the tracking and communication of Key performance indicators
• Provide support in the preparation of quality regular reports and quality reports summaries for the quality team leads and management and making any necessary recommendations for improvement.
• Assist the construction quality team in the processing of inspection and test plans (ITP’s) and applicable supporting documents that validate inspections and tests.
• To become familiar with project Quality requirements as specified in contract documents, codes and standards
• Participate in site quality surveillances for work activities undertaken by various contractors and subcontractors.
• Participate in quality field inspections (discipline specific ) activities as detailed in the relevant ITP’s and ensure all completed work is in compliance to project requirements.
• To become familiar with and participate in the NON-Conformance reporting process when materials, work or processes do not meet the requirements and specifications
• Assist the construction quality personnel in the resolution of NCR’s in a timely manner and ensure that the corrective actions have been implemented effectively.
• Ensure that construction teams are using the latest revision of documents.
• Participate in construction coordination meeting and construction walk keeping both safety and quality as a primary focus.
• Participate in joint inspections and communicate issues raised to the construction quality manager and assist in the resolution of issues as they arise.
• Provide any additional support and resource that may be deemed necessary for the role, as determined by quality
  

What will you contribute?

• knowledge of ISO 9001and construction standards specifications in Ontario.
• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering or technician.
• ability to work with in a dynamic and robust construction environment.
• ability to work well with others and demonstrate effective communication.
