Qlik Developer

The Qlik Developer role involves conceptualizing, designing & analysis catering to business intelligence applications. Also involves providing business user support for projects from analysis/design to UAT. It includes data analysis, system analysis, solution design, technology architecture, networking, data flows and financial analysis. In addition to the technical flows documents have to be produced using data, metrics, and analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
• Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
• Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
• Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development on Qlik Platform covering QlikView and Qlik Sense preferred
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Sourcing and development of data related logic and documentation for the purpose of Business Intelligence tool exposure (Qlik)
• Interact with multiple upstream data sources & business stakeholders
• Experience working with end users/customers, understand and develop requirements to produce UI/Dashboards/Reporting Modules
• Ability to build dashboards and do Web Development (Extensions)
• Knowledge/experience to build API
• Support the QlikView development teams in communicating the business requirements
• Knowledge and understanding QlikView BI application standards, metadata, data modeling, and data loading
• Help administer, analyze, and automate data from a number of systems
• Dashboard creation and maintenance
• Provide visibility and manage the coordination of requirements vs deliverables related to UI/DB development with the deliverables perspective
• Ensure timely and accurate communications with all team members of the FMI technology on in-flight and/ or upcoming deliverables.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
• Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Should have proficiency in Qlik Development

Ability to use mashup and third party tools integration skills to Qlik sense

Open to learn new tech stack if project require new functionalities

Work with development teams to ensure depencies are covered and zero error code delivered to production
