What is the opportunity?

As a Quality Engineering Test Architect, you will design automated solutions to testing problems the business faces through the application of contextually relevant process and practice, the use of tools and technology and by applying soft skills such as effective communication and mentoring of QE staff and other project team members. Manages multiple development projects, development groups and/or application support functions for a major business segment. Typically manages 2 or more specialized departments comprised of supervisors, managers, professionals, and/or large numbers of operational support employees.

What will you do?

• You are a technical specialist focusing on test case design, implementation, automation, use & enablement of the QE function and will provide technical test architecture leadership and strategic direction for your assigned QE organization.

• Support the QE Director in achieving their strategic goals for the QE Team by providing technical support to the team.

• Providing solutions or recommendations on complicated technology issues for application development and implementation.

• Support leadership in the execution of automated testing frameworks, processes and tools, and utilization of organizational change management practices to drive support and empower staff in assigned unit.

• Provide recommendations and contribute to test strategy & technical solutions in area of expertise, including leading QE work streams.

• Overseeing the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems.

• Allocating and ensuring resource arrangements during the application development life cycle.

• Maintaining relationships with clients to ensure the implementation quality of application systems.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

• Minimum 7 years of experience designing test cases with a focus on optimized test design techniques with automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases)

• Must be well versed in managing BPM product testing (Pega knowledge is added benefit)

• Subject Matter Expert in leading test case design to provide efficient optimal coverage though unit test, component/service-based tests and complex “real life” test scenarios for database, data ingestion and source-to-target validation

• Experience with SQL (or equivalent) and demonstrated skill with writing complex queries

• Managing and orchestrating automated integration test plan.

• Must have API Test automation knowledge

Nice to Have

• Wealth/Portfolio Management domain knowledge

• SingleStore (formerly MemSQL), Kafka, OpenShift and Linux experience

• Mainframe navigation & Mainframe database querying experience
