WSPis looking for a motivated Intermediate Project Technician/Scientist to work with our growing Environmental Management Team supporting ongoing contaminated land assessments. The position is to be staffed in Regina or Saskatoon, with work locations throughout Western Canada and will include a large field component 80% field / 20% office).

A Day In The Life
  • You will assist project managers/leads with the development and execution of site-specific assessment, remediation and reclamation projects in various regions of western Canada;
  • You will be responsible for the collection and field screening of soil, water, and groundwater samples;
  • You will execute Phased Environmental Site Assessments under the direction of Senior Technical Leads;
  • You will liaise with laboratories, contractors, and other service providers as required
  • You will be responsible for the onsite supervision of subcontractors;
  • You will participate in our HS&E programs and support and promote underlying principles throughout the organization;
  • Work with other team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
We’d love to hear from you if you have...
  • Technical Diploma or University degree in environmental sciences, geology, hydrogeology or engineering
  • 5+ years of cumulative environmental consulting experience
  • Experience conducting Phased Environmental Site Assessments and related sampling;
  • An enthusiastic attitude and team spirit
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license; Drivers abstract screening will be required by the successful candidates
