THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting directly to the Manager of Strategy, Planning, and Liaison, the successful applicant will manage multiple IT projects simultaneously on behalf of the Office of the Chief Information Officer. The successful applicant will work with stakeholders to develop plans and execute projects throughout the project lifecycle. This position will also be involved in process improvements related to IT projects, program, and portfolio management. Duties include managing projects from original concept through final implementation; interfacing with stakeholders affected by the project including senior leaders, clients, end users, and vendors; applying project management best practices to effectively manage project objectives, scope, resources, schedule, communications, risk, budget, integration, procurement, and quality; assisting in the development of project management methodologies, business analysis, IT Governance and Collaboration Framework processes; and performing other related duties as required. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Experience (3-5) years in project management, covering all phases of the project life cycle; graduation from a four year university or college program supplemented by advanced formal project management training such as Master’s Certificate in Project Management or PMP Certification; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience in the Information Technology/Information Management industry would be an asset.
