Overview

Reporting directly to the COO, you will assist in the planning, coordinating, and executing the company’s various developments or corporate initiatives through to completion. This includes coordinating architects, consultants, sub-consultants and acting as the liaison between the development and construction. All functions and responsibilities are performed in accordance with MGC values and beliefs.

Responsibilities

· Support the development team when applying for city applications, including assembling material, ensuring all conditions are being met, and requesting required drawings, reports and specifications from the consultant team.

· Contribute as party of the team to the development of site planning and floor plans throughout the schematic design and design development stages.

· Undertake market, product, and service research and data collection as needed.

· Track and monitor all required approvals to ensure timely processing and completion.

· Prepare a variety of internal and external reports and presentations as required.

· Provide support to the development team with public engagement and community meetings.

· Assist the development, construction and marketing team with building and maintaining project schedules, tracking documents, and checklists.

· Assist with daily management of consultants, contractors, and third-party vendors.

· Work with the team to review construction details, assist with review of project and interior design specifications.

· Assist with drawing and specification review, coordination, and filing.

· Assist the development, operation, and sales teams as needed during sales launch and project closeout, including the preparation and assembly of project/owner manuals.

· Coordination with suppliers regarding fit and finish as well as ensuring projects are completed to a standard which is an accordance with MGC quality and brand.

· Meet with buyers to pick schemes, make minor changes, and sign off on client packages.

· Organize homeowner and contract changes to send to trades.

· Ordering of materials such as light fixtures, countertops, cabinets, finishing materials, door hardware, bathroom accessories etc.

· Ensure plan sets are consistent between City permits, architectural plans, sales centre layouts and interior designer sets.

· Confirm electrical, plumbing, layouts as per plan sets.

· Confirm door rough openings are correct and door purchase orders match each suite.

· Quality check workmanship on all finishing’s (tiles, laminate etc.).

· Deficiency walk through’s.

· Coordinate and organize key packages and assign storage lockers, parking stalls etc as required.

· Facilitate and lead the implementation of the MGC Customer Care Program.

· Additional related duties, as required.

Qualifications

· 2 years related experience in land economics, development, architecture, and/or the construction industry.

· Strong experience using InDesign, illustrator, AutoCAD, SketchUp.

· Degree or certificate in Urban Planning and / or Design.
