Aecon Utilities is ready to become Canada’s #1 utility construction provider and we’re looking for a Project Coordinator to help us get there!Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing coordination and support to various aspects of operations to ensure the efficient and profitable execution of the installation of underground and aerial infrastructure relating to telecommunications builds.What You’ll Do Here

• Responsible for project tracking tools, including construction schedules and estimates.
• Conduct onsite worksite inspections with a heavy focus on safety and quality of work performed.
• Assist in the coordination, preparation and submission of as-built drawings and design drawings.
• Monitor progress and assist in the provision of job cost reports to management on active projects.
• Provide Management with data and project analysis.
• Identify and assist in resolution of issues related to the above reports.
• Track productivity, costs and progress on projects.
• Provide support for meeting packages and reports preparation; track and follow up on actions.
• Provide project assurance support with understanding and completion of internal project reporting.
• Participate in development of requirements for project management tools and processes.
• Travel within the Southern Interior areas in BC for site vists.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal departments.

What You Bring To The Team

• Education in Civil/Construction Technologist/ Technician.
• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications.
• Great computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project.
• Strong communication skills – oral and written.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Understanding of current best-practice project management techniques.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• A valid driver’s license.
