The Opportunity:

Are you ready to elevate your career? Canadian Natural Resources has an exciting opportunity waiting for you. The Claresholm area consisting of multiple Sour & Sweet Gas Plants, Compressors stations, field boosters, Oil facilities along with an extensive gathering systems. The Production Foreman in the Claresholm area is responsible for safely leading a field team to effectively and efficiently manage operating and capital cost as well as maximize production in an environmentally responsible manner. You will be in a pivotal position to deliver on regulatory requirements, as well as communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including but not limited to Red Deer staff, Calgary teams, landowners and service providers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to field staff by on-site work planning and day-to-day direction while managing staff performance, spend >50% of time in the field
  • Ensure wells and facilities are properly maintained to operational and regulatory standards including oversight and completion of facility turnarounds as necessary
  • Drive reliability and process improvements as it relates to safety, production and cost
  • Organize and attend field meetings, including arranging for training programs and safety meetings
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets while maintaining cost control
  • Provide leadership, knowledge and direction to field staff towards Canadian Natural’s Safety Management Systems
  • Maximize safe well production and facility throughout by working closely with Assistant Foreman, Maintenance Foreman, Safety Compliance Coordinator, Technical and Administration Teams to maintain runtime performance of > 97% from wellhead to sales
  • Maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Other Details:

  • Job location: Strathmore, Alberta
  • Eligible for relocation to the Strathmore area
  • Shift schedule: 5x2 - Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day
  • This is a safety sensitive position

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of field experience in an operational, maintenance or technical role
  • Working knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations.
  • Proven team leadership experience in a supervisory or mentorship capacity
  • Proven project management skills in planning, preparations and execution
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of Oil and Gas economics
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Graduate with Engineering Degree, Technology Diploma or Journeyman certification is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification preferred
  • Strong data analysis and computer skills utilizing MS Office, SCADA, Production Accounting systems, Maintenance systems, Financial Accounting systems, and ability to learn and utilize various Technical systems/software’s]
