The Production Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all production is accounted for and entered into SAP daily and at month end. Reviews Aggregate production schedules, and monitors production along with raw materials inventories. Responsible for drone activities at the Southern Alberta sites ensuring timely flights and volumes reports are made available to the Area Managers. Additional responsibilities include assisting the GCA Operations Administrator in daily/month end management of Account Payables.



As a Production Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • Safety Culture: Promotes safety culture through engagement with employees, JHSC and subcontractors with an objective of “zero” safety incidents. Administer, promote and review safety policies, processes and procedures to maintain relevance while ensuring the site meets or exceeds all Lafarge and Regulatory guidelines. Has ownership of the implementation and management of all local and regional safety initiatives, providing feedback as necessary.
  • Operations: Verify production by product. Maintain accurate cost and inventory control. Validate and match physical inventories, by use of the SAB Drone. Calculate and analyze all productivity and material data. Control and update production entries in SAP (plant and production reports) for the sites on a daily basis. Maintain the sales and production balance tool.
  • Consumption Tracking: Ensures systems are in place to effectively and accurately monitor key consumption variable such as energy and fuel. Analyses results to identify opportunities and concerns. Provides consistent and effective reports for operations management.
  • Accounts Payable: Prepares and processes Work Orders and Purchase Orders for the product line. Asphalt Payroll. Registers, reviews and receives billings. Clear invoicing errors. Works with NABS on Vendor setup. Supports Operations Administrator with P-Card expenses & Ariba Ordering.
  • Purchasing: Administers the Purchase Orders and Receiving processes for all purchasing activities. Requests quotations and places orders for Plant Foreman
  • Managerial Support: Reviews all Procurement to Pay (P2P) activities for accuracy and corrects any processing errors. Records, investigates and reports any anomalies in processing data to Operations/Quarry Manager. Collection and entry of plant cost data.
  • Miscellaneous: Responsible for SAP System requirements for SAB Aggregates. Processes Accounts Payable in the product line. Processes production reporting.

Relationships with Others Functions:

  • Reports to the Operations Manager
  • Works closely with Operations, Sales and Logistics team
  • Works closely with Area Finance to ensure costs are budgeted, forecasted accurately
  • Works closely with other Plant Staff, Maintenance, Distribution, Quality and Area Safety Staff



Education:

High School diploma with a minimum two (2) years of administration experience.



Experience & Skill Set:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional ability to plan and organize processes
  • Experience with SAP an asset
