You work as part of a cross-functional team to lead and deliver the activities required to complete Process Design and Process Deployment for Innovation, Growth and Productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience

How You Will Contribute

With the support of a manager and technical coaches, you will design and implement projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements and effectively communicate project statuses and risks. As part of that planning process, you will conduct activities to generate the appropriate process information, using modelling, simulations, and pilot plant and plant trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements. You will also plan and conduct process development activities including process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning, technical risk assessments and create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications. In this role, you will assist in planning the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies, and manage stakeholders, making recommendations and influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of data. You will also create intellectual property to drive competitive advantage.

More About This Role

What you need to know about this position:

You will be the owner of the loss and waste analysis for the line, including implementing daily online tracking tools on main process variables and KPIs. Identifies productivity opportunities and delivers them with a defined yearly target. Reviews the technical modifications that will be introduced on the line with projects. Owns Kaizen activities and sponsors Kaizen activities from the line. Starts to develop standard Process control and centerlines. Starts identifying and addressing SOCs as part of the overall AM agenda.

Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • LEAN Six Sigma certification an asset.

Job specific requirements:
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, take ownership and deliver results against challenging performance indicators
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, analytical, influence and negotiation skills
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Production, Process or Continuous Improvement roles within Food or Consumer Goods Manufacturing
  • A disciplined profile is a key characteristic, and some Project Management experience is desirable

Work schedule:

Monday through Friday. Ability to work off shifts and weekends as needed by the business
