Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the incumbent will work the X-shift (7 30am - 5 30pm, Monday to Friday). This role focuses on maintaining the plant (indoor/outdoor), replenishing inventory daily to support production and moving materials within and outside the plant.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove finished goods and left-over materials from the plant to the shipping department or outside
• Supply empty crates and pallets to all work centers within the plant.
• Responsible for indoor and outdoor housekeeping and maintenance following 5S standards.
• Replenish material(s) to dedicated area(s) to support and maintain production supplies for all shifts
• Return gasket(s) to gasket storage area and maintain.
• Perform cycle counts on raw material as required.
• Return all leftover raw material to accurate location
• Perform necessary administrative functions related to the position.
• Responsible for conducting pre-shift inspection on forklift trucks.
• Follow all plant health, safety, environmental and quality policies by working safely and responsibly
• Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  

Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma or practical equivalency
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Valid and current forklift truck license.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices is necessary
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail
• Willingness to work in varying working conditions, predominately outdoors, and in all weather conditions
• Good time management skills and versatile to work independently or in a team setting
• The successful candidate will be required to successfully complete a security background check
  

Working Conditions

Employee spends most of their time outdoors requiring varying degrees of physical labor. Lifting, pulling, pushing heavy objects, standing and walking cover majority of work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, and noise levels. Moderate amount of sensory attention is required. Limited control of work pace and unexpected workflow brings moderate stresses to this position.
