Personal Lines Service Broker - Tenants Team

We will count on you to:

Responsible for providing exceptional and professional customer sales & service, across a number of communication channels, to our tenant clientele, by answering sales and service inquiries, amending policy details, renewal handling, payment inquiries, thorough coverage explanations, empathetic claims handling and cancellation handling. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate and timely client records, in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Respond & process client new business requests
  • Respond & process accurate and timely service requests, to in-force policyholders, including payment and cancellation inquiries, across a number of channels, in a prompt and professional manner and in accordance with carrier guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain claims information, in an empathetic, accurate and delicate fashion and submit to the carrier in a timely manner.
  • Ability to process and issue renewals
  • Accurate, timely and thorough client documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Successfully contribute to the achievement of the team service levels Agreements (SLA) , Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and business objectives
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload to meet individual SLA, KPI and Quality targets.
  • Ability to assist with areas of backlog
  • Maintain a solid understanding of all product knowledge and underwriting guidelines, as it relates to tenant insurance.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the core aspects of relevant Insurance and related legislations
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent customer sales and service skills and etiquette
  • Investigate, triage, assist and resolve client escalations to ensure a satisfactory outcome
  • Adhere strictly to the Company’s Quality practices and other systems and procedures
  • Comply fully with the Company’s Errors and Omissions avoidance policy
  • Comply with company policy for continuous professional development
  • Take ownership of personal development and behaviors, proactively improving knowledge and skills

What you need to have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience, college degree is preferred
  • RIBO license
  • 1-2 years’ work experience, with 1 + year in an office environment Note: previous insurance and/or financial services experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a call center environment an asset
