Eaton is currently seeking an Operational Excellence /Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Airdrie, Alberta facility.

Position Overview

Working under the general direction of the Operational Excellence Manager, this position will assist in the improvement of manufacturing/business processes and the implementation of Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) tools and Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).

In This Function You Will
  • Work with business units to implement Eaton Lean Six Sigma in conjunction with Eaton’s Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF)
  • Promote, initiate, and support the implementation or improved business and manufacturing processes
  • Research and offer solutions for opportunities identified either by this position or any employee on site
  • Facilitate improvement events with multi-functional groups and provide just-in-time training of ELSS tools and methodologies
  • Promote continuous improvement and lean culture within the business
  • Meet ongoing ELSS and CIF requirements

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in relevant technical discipline (Electrical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Minimum 3 years of prior experience working continuous improvement techniques and processes, e.g., Lean Manufacturing
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in assembly and fabrication processes considered an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of relevant software applications, e.g., MS Office Suite, AutoCAD/Inventor, Visio, PowerBI and Power Automate considered an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is considered an asset

  • Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working in a very fast pace environment as part of a team and taking direction
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence rather than positional power
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
