We invite Occupational Therapists to apply for a Permanent Part Time opening at Interior Health’s new formed inter-disciplinary Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) Team.

Based in the Kelowna Community Health and Services Centre (CHSC), the Occupational Therapist’s role will emphasis on occupational therapy assessment, early intervention and activation. Days of Work | Week One: Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays; Week Two: Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The EPI’s model of care is to encourage collaborative pathways towards resiliency, recovery and independence for people over 19 years of age experiencing first episode psychosis. This service understands that collaboration is key supporting client’s recovery, this includes; collaboration within the interdisciplinary team, collaboration with clients, families and the communities in which they live. EPI’s goal is to support people experiencing psychosis towards self-determined recovery through timely, effective and compassionate support.

Professional Occupational Therapy practice is supported at multiple levels. Locally by the Allied Health and Nursing teams. General practice as part of a group led by an Occupational Therapy Professional Practice Leader, with operational oversight from an Allied Health Manager. Mentoring and mentee opportunities abound as you are surrounded by other Occupational Therapists of various backgrounds, skills and experience.
