The MRO coordinator is responsible for but not limited to the monitoring of MRO requirements for a multi facility operation. The incumbent performs any other related tasks upon request. This position will be based at our Oshawa plant location.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Corporate Procurement
  • Creating, processing, and tracking MRO orders
  • Follow-up via email or phone with suppliers on order status
  • Maintain/Manage a computerized database of part details
  • Maintain order confirmation and delivery details within computerized database
  • Investigate MRO receiving issues; working with plant and supplier as required
  • Coordinate RMAs with suppliers/plant
  • Communicate with suppliers on part availability, delivery timing
  • Assist buyers with RFQs
  • Assist with review and analysis of purchase history
  • Assist with review and analysis of comparative pricing
  • Develop new sources of supply and maintain a good working relationship with existing suppliers
  • Determine areas for process improvement and develop implementation plans
  • Ensures that J2’s procurement policies are adhered to
  • Safe Operations works and if required, assists or directs/manages others to perform work only if it can be done so that no work site accident or illness results from any operational activity.
Employment Requirements
  • High School Diploma, College Diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with computer skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong verbal communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills in a high paced environment
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Effective prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Excellent attention to detail
