Reggin Industries is an industry leader in custom metal fabrication for the commercial construction industry.

We are looking for Metal Fabricators to Join our team. (Sheet Metal Worker background)

Responsibilities:

This job involves a variety of tasks from working in the shop fabricating architectural and structural steel components to installing the finished product at commercial construction job sites.

This may involve some or all of the following:

• Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints and/or shop drawings including work specifications and detailing information to determine sequence and method of fabrication
• Follow verbal instructions to provide additional information or to clarify drawings required for fabrication
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW or TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW or MIG), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW),
• Lay out, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines as indicated on the drawings onto sheet metal using scribers, dividers, squares and rulers
• Apply knowledge of shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns to product (or use templates)
• Assures company quality standards are consistently met and procedures followed addressing deficiencies as needed.
• Check the accuracy of each cut piece using instruments like micrometers and calipers
• Set up and operate steel working machines which may include shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses forming rolls and routers to bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal according to drawings or verbal instructions
• Trim, file, grind, de-burr, buff, and smooth seams, joints and rough surfaces, using hand tools or portable power tools
• Weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk and bond component parts to assemble products with the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment
• Inspect product quality to ensure conformance to specifications
• Work with stainless steel, mild steel and other metals as required
• Work within the company’s health and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean work area
• Operate vehicle to and from work site, if required
• Work on commercial construction sites as required installing architectural and light structural components

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Sheet metal and/or welding certification and/or on-the-job training
• Ability to visualize a finished product from a drawing
• Good background in practical mathematics, geometry and blueprint reading
• Follow specific direction
• Good physical condition with the ability to stand for long periods, do some moderately heavy lifting and carrying
• Eye-hand coordination, good eyesight and manual dexterity
• Patience, dependability and accuracy
• Working knowledge of metal fabrication and structural fabrication/welding
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to produce high quality metal products
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate technical information
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work within a timeline
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Understanding of and willingness to apply general on-the-job safety practices
• Experience in TIG welding of light gauge stainless and light gauge metals
• CWB tickets considered an asset
