MEDLOG - Dispatcher

Key accountabilities

• Dispatch pickups and deliveries to the drivers
• Monitor emails to keep up to date with daily requests and information
• Monitor satellites and driver’s progress to avoid delay
• Ensure on time service for all pickups and deliveries
• Prevent empty mileage
• Answer incoming customer’s inquiries
• Assign trips and movements in the system
• Ensure placement of trailer pool to support client’s daily requirements
• Report available power/trucks & Driver issues
• Plan and schedule drivers efficiently
• Coordinate with fleet operations to ensure required equipment is available
• Equipment updating in our Transportation Management System
• All other related dispatch tasks

Qualifications and competencies

• Container, LTL and FTL experience
• Strong attentions to detail
• Awesome customer service attitude
• Positive attitude and excellent people skills
• Autonomous
• 2-year experience in a similar role
• Comfortable in a computerized environment
• Resourceful, takes initiative and is able to analyze problems and find solutions
• Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Bilingual French/English
