Arjae Design Solutions Ltd. is a fast growing Engineering, Design and Fabrication company providing unique solutions to clients in the energy industry. With an expanding scope of projects, we are involved in new facility design as well as existing plant upgrades & field services.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Engineerto work on a variety of projects in oil and gas processing facilities design and manufacturing of equipment. This role will support the successful planning, design, fabrication and turnover of our client projects in traditional energy, renewable energy, and other emerging technology projects.

You will bring a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a high level of self-motivation and initiative to our projects to meet the needs of our clients. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who can also work independently, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and who work well in an entrepreneurial environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform detailed Mechanical Engineering design and analysis including:

• Piping system stress analysis using CAESAR II
• Pressure vessel calculations using COMPRESS
• Structural calculations/analysis using commercial software and in-house calculation tools

- Review applicable codes and standards for design compliance, including ASME B31.1/3, ASME Section I, II, VIII Div 1&2, CSA B149.3, relevant API standards, etc.

- Contribute to engineering and project deliverables including piping line list, P&ID review, specification review, etc.

- Contribute to mechanical specifications for piping and process equipment – including piping systems, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, air coolers, valves, etc.

- Work effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, technicians, shop fabrication team and other internal and external groups.

Requirements:

Education/Professional Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

- Possession of, or working towards, registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation in Alberta

Experience:

- Some experience in Mechanical Engineering is an asset.

- Knowledge and some experience in oil & gas/process facilities and associated equipment design and fabrication is preferred.

- Previous experience or exposure in the EPC field is an asset.

- Previous plant operations and/or manufacturing experience is an asset, as is previous field and construction experience.

- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams is an asset.

- Strong organizational and communication skills; self motivated and detail-oriented.

Additional Information:

• This position is based in our office in Nisku, Alberta
• Occasional travel to client sites may be required
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
