Shift Time for Mechanical Engineer Designer:

· 8:30am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer Designer:

· Respond to design and innovation requirements for improving the performance at various manufacturing cells.

· Performing engineering calculations

· Developing Solid models of machinery using Solidworks.

· Creating engineering drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

· Developing standard operating and assembly procedures

Requirements for Mechanical Engineer Designer:

· Experience with Solidworks Modeling and Drafting

· Experience with designing welded frames or parts

· Mechanical engineering technologist background

· Should be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering with an accredited Canadian University. Must have completed a minimum of 3 years (6 terms), or

· Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering with an accredited Canadian University. Must have completed a minimum of 3 years (6 terms).

Pay Rate for Mechanical Engineer Designer:

· $35.00/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• Solidworks Modeling and Drafting: 1 year (required)
• designing welded frames or parts: 1 year (required)
