Position Summary:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Designer will support product sustaining and new product development of medium voltage switchgear.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities:

• Participate in design review and understand customized design requirements
• Choose correct modular subassemblies and configurations of the product
• Research design concept and purchase components
• Detail and draft new parts required for the new design
• Prepare mechanical drawings with dimensions, tolerance, and bill of material
• Assemble test set up, and modify if necessary
• Prepare and conduct mechanical and electrical experiments
• Plan and complete defined design and test work per schedule
• Prepare production and test documentation
• Process test data and report test results
• Support production, Supply Chain, Sales and QA

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ year Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering
• Good understanding of mechanical principle and equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical instrument and devices.
• Experience with 3D solid modeling and drawings (CREO)
• Hands on in a lab environment
• Good team player and quick learner
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate the activities with diverse tasks and demanding schedules
• Excellent command of the English Language verbal and written
