Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of the Best Managed Companies in North America.Required immediately, our Victoria branch is seeking a full-time Templater to join the team in the Courtenay / Comox / Nanaimo area!Looking for someone with experience in install (construction background), templating (IT, computer savvy) and who has good customer service.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for creating digital file/templates to be used in creating the final product. Involves programming CNC router and preparing CAD files both in shop and on job sites for fabrication of custom countertops in a range of materials. This often involves visiting customer homes to finalize the measurements.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in templating a plus but will train the right person
• Experience in Templating or Fabrication/Installation/drafting and or construction background an asset
• IT/ Technical background an asset
• Relevant post-secondary education with 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft office products, AutoCAD and CAM software
• Must be able to accurately read a measuring tape & read and interpret installation drawings
• Experience in reading blue prints/schematics, etc. along with experience with measurements and Intermediate mathematical skills
• Must have strong face to face customer service skills and good with sales, professional appearance, with good communication skills with appropriate command of the English language and the understanding and knowledge of how to deal with people effectively with varied backgrounds
• Possess a valid Driver’s License and clear criminal record check
  
  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Traveling to customers’ homes/business to create templates
• Completing work orders noting all required measurements, polished edges, cut-outs (sinks, cook tops, faucet holes), plus radiuses in the tops and any other necessary specifications desired by the customer for the job
• Advising customers of any modifications required and providing critical information to the customer concerning the templating and installation processes
• Responding to general customer inquiries while on-site and communicating any relevant information about the job to the salesperson, Operations staff or Production staff in a timely basis
• Ensuring all work orders and completed templates are submitted no later than 24-48 hours from the time of templating
• Maintain the company vehicle interior and exterior
• Creating accurate digital drawings of countertops and sinks for installation.
• Other duties as assigned including but not limited to receiving material, inspecting, inventory, and general shop duties
• Regular local travel with occasional out of town travel
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lift 50lbs, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
