Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, professional, and strategicMarketing Manager.

Objectives:

  • Responsible for management and execution of local marketing tactics
  • Improve hotel positioning in local, national and international markets
  • Increase total revenue for various business segments through the execution of hotel marketing strategy
  • Oversee local marketing expense planning and processing
  • Identify new marketing opportunities that support the business needs of each of the hotels segments

Overview:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for Hyatt Regency Vancouver’s on property marketing efforts. This position will have an opportunity to expand our visibility in the market, with the primary focus on activating our Social Media Strategy for both the Hotel as well as our Food & Beverage outlets. This position plays a vital role in developing content for a variety of mediums (print, digital, social, more), managing reputation and social channels, creating/supporting marketing, PR and sales messaging while enhancing brand equity and community stature.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and create content for our social media platforms. This individual will be responsible for the appearance and content that is posted on our social platforms. Activities include but are not limited to: posting schedules, photography on site, administering photos releases and clever and creative content that tells the story of Hyatt Regency Vancouver and drives digital revenue.
  • Liaison between Sales, Rooms, F&B and other departments, and the corporate office for marketing materials
  • Execute recommended corporate marketing initiatives at the local level and provide team with formal results summary
  • Responsible for on property promotional collateral. Maintain graphic standards and integrity for all print ads and promotional material distributed internally and externally
  • Property’s web master, liaison between corporate digital content team for website updates and quarterly audits
  • Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel
  • Facilitate tracking and reporting of all marketing initiatives
  • Champion CRM and online reputation management
  • Evaluate promotional opportunities presented to hotel as well as develop promotions and partnerships to meet the hotel’s marketing and revenue objectives
  • Participate in brand training and development sessions and ensure that the brand image and integrity is maintained at the property level
  • Research and coordinate advertising and PR/communications opportunities with approved corporate vendors and agencies and provide direction on media placement goals in targeted media outlets.
  • Position and promote the hotel as a good corporate citizen by supporting Human Resources with the coordination of the hotel’s community involvement THRIVE projects and publicizing efforts where appropriate (local and national/corporate-wide scale, making sure that a charitable aspect is tied to each publicity event). Support initiatives such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and ensure all work is inclusive
  • Develop and manage marketing assets within Hyatt Brand Manager (HBM)
  • Host hotel’s monthly marketing meetings
  • Other responsibilities as required

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience, preferably in hospitality
  • Degree in Marketing/PR/Communications, Hospitality Management or related disciplines an asset.
  • Creative abilities to create/execute graphic content using Canva, photoshop or similar platforms
  • Self-starter and a team leader with the ability to ideate around concepts and bring to life marketing strategies to drive revenue
  • Proficient in photo and video editing software
  • Effective management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Creative, organized and strong business sense
  • Superb proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Effective communications & presentation skills
  • Knowledge of community and region
  • Ability to think creatively. Move concepts into completion with clear goals and measurement
  • Maintain a good working relationship with guests, groups, and personnel from other departments
