The Role

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the execution of marketing plans, including media, promotions, advertising, and collateral materials. This role also plays works closely with the Marketing team to develop and assist the coordination of show home advertising, brand advertising, community advertising, internal brand communications.

The Responsibilities

  • Create industry specific content, web ready content, and corporate brand content
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer for brand strategy
  • Ensure that all sales collateral is up to date
  • Create internal brand documents as required
  • Provide sales enablement support with community and model specific content
  • Assist the Graphic Designer with support material creation and editing
  • Assist the Sales Team with their requests for marketing materials and signage
  • Ensure all metrics and sales tools are uploaded to the marketing intranet
  • Work with the Marketing Team to deliver USP’s and marketing intel to sales teams
  • Work with Marketing Manager to develop media plans and block charts
  • Meet with advertising vendors to determine best rates and options
  • Create an advertising schedule and organize all creative deadlines for the Graphic Designer
  • Assist the Graphic Designer with resizing ads as needed
  • Update existing materials, and creates new materials, including forms, brochures, banners, signage, and event collateral. Ensure all content and materials are consistent with the brand
  • Support the graphic designer with material updates, and small projects
  • Update and create spec home/show home brochures, and lot maps for sales and the website
  • Market Intelligence – be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy
  • Through surveys, focus groups, sales and online data, gain insights into the buyer’s journey
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and who what when and why behind the buying decision
  • Research what competitors are offering and compare against our own offerings
  • Plan and coordinate offsite public events, such as grand openings at show homes
  • Prepare and maintain a calendar of marketing events to share on the marketing intranet
  • Support the Excel Homes Corporate Office with internal brand documents
  • Create internal marketing surveys to determine the value and quality of the marketing team’s work within the company. Compare year to year and create action plans with the Marketing Manager for areas of improvement

  • You are an effective communicator and you consistently deliver results

Our ‘Must Haves’

  • Marketing diploma with 2+ years in a marketing coordination role
  • Supplementary training; social media best practices, digital marketing metrics
  • Valid Drivers License with reliable transportation
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites
  • Event Planning and Coordination Experience
  • High level of Social Media competency
  • Customer Relationship Management and Marketing Automation Software experience
