SUMMARY:

In this position you will be reporting to the Digital Manager for the Oakville site. As the manufacturing engineering specialist Co-op Student, you will focused on planning and migrating the current manufacturing plans and their associated documentation into Oakville’s new paperless, “Digital” MES system, called Solumina.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Migrate the current Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS) or Assembly Process Sheets (APS) from Matrix (PLM system) and transfer into the new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) – Solumina
• These are some examples of documents to be transferred per the standard work document into Solumina;
• Critical Lifitng plans for Part, fixture and related tooling
• MPS / APS approved plans in Matrix
• Foreign Object Debris (FOd)
• Part specific flag notes
• Acceptance test plans
• Various Data Collection recordings
• Part number & serial number
• Gauge’s used
• Serialized part numbering
• Torque requirements
• Techniques
• NadCap requirements
• Various dimensions from Process tracking sheets
• Project manage the parts you are assigned to migrate, following up with operations, quality, tooling, gauge calibration, planning and manufacturing engineering peers to ensure your plans are migrated per the master plan
• All other duties assigned by management
  
  
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques and applications
• Demonstrated proficiency in all MS office applications.
• Proficiency 3D CAD/CAM software’s such as CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, CREO, NX.
• Proficiency in developing, editing video files in various applications, Timerpro, Adobe Pro, Imovie, etc..
• Previous ERP experience necessary (SAP preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
