Leader Name: VP, Internal Assurance

As ATB’s next Managing Director of Internal Audit, you will lead assurance activities for key corporate functions, including Treasury, Risk and Finance. This position is part of the senior leadership team of Internal Assurance, and leads a team of talented audit professionals. This position also plays a key role in the development and execution of the Internal Assurance strategic plan.

Responsibilities Include

• Coaching and mentoring direct reports and developing future leaders
• Leading the development of effective and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders based on mutual trust, understanding their objectives and delivering valuable insights
• Leading the delivery of focused assurance to stakeholders in an efficient and effective manner
• Leading and participating in the ongoing risk assessment process for the organization approach
• As a member of the senior leadership team, contributing to the development of the strategic plan and continuous improvement activities of Internal Assurance
• Ensuring the appropriate integration of data analytics and technology skills in assurance engagements
• Participating in and contributing to applicable enterprise committees
  

Requirements

• A proven leader with at least 10 years of audit leadership experience
• Proficient collaborator who has a focus on people
• An experienced coach and mentor
• A strong auditing background with relevant academic and professional certifications (e.g. CIA, CISA, CPA)
• Financial services experience is preferred, particularly in areas such as Treasury, Capital Markets and Risk Management.
