In your role as the Manager, Facilities Warehouse, you will provide support to the Facilities and Construction Team relating to reducing costs by re-deploying/re-purposing building materials and Store Equipment.

Your Role:

  • Ensure that all shipments are properly tagged/labeled with location destination and proper RETEK tracking numbers;
  • Ensure new assets shipped out are equipped with NWC asset tags and the data is submitted to the Facilities Team to record into Officetrax database;
  • Ensure all returned used Store spare equipment is serviced/cleaned ready for quick deployment upon request from Facilities Maintenance and Construction Teams;
  • Recycle expired Metal/Materials and or equipment which deemed beyond lifecycle.
  • Maintain and clean work place and maintain an organized warehouse.
  • Oversee onsite Contractors performing repairs to used/new Equipment and communicate to Facilities.
  • Ensure all equipment repairs are coordinated with and pre-approved by Facilities Maintenance Manager prior to completing any work;
  • Maintain a warehouse inventory on the (H) drive so that Facilities and Construction Teams can see what is available for potential re-deployment to save on costs; and,
  • Arrange/Scheduling for all deliveries to the Warehouse and shipments from the Warehouse to identified locations including WLSC.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of Construction experience and knowledge within a general sense of all Construction Trades;
  • construction background is an asset experienced in a variety of trades;
  • Refrigeration and HVAC experience is an asset;
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and power jack;
  • Experience in Customer Service management ;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Microsoft Project is required;
  • Strong organization, time management and people management skills; capable of operating independently with minimal direction;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations; and
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to lead, have clear communication skills;
