As an Assurance Manager, Privately Held Business Group your responsibilities will include:

• Being a proactive member of the leadership team for the privately-held business group in Abbotsford
• Providing excellence in client service and taking responsibility managing client relationships
• Acting as a key business advisor to your clients on a range of business issues
• Planning, reviewing and overseeing the execution of client deliverables with a focus on compilations and review engagements
• Working with general Canadian tax issues and related compliance, relying on help from senior tax practitioners for complex tax issues
• Constantly coaching people to be the best they can be
• Enthusiastically participating in the performance management processes including conducting timely performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback and training to develop more junior team members
• Building and deepening meaningful business relationships with colleagues and clients, based on rapport, trust and respect
• Proactively growing the firm through differentiating the Grant Thornton brand in the marketplace, supporting and driving business development and client service initiative

Think you’ve got what it takes to be an Assurance Manager, Privately Held Business Group? Like the colour purple? Great. Here’s a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

• Strong background with reviewing and leading compilation and review engagements and working with owner-managed clients within a public practice scope
• Excellent general tax skills and the ability to identify tax issues
• Strong people management focus and coaching orientation
• Minimum 2 years management experience in a public practice environment
• Strong personal and professional brand in the marketplace
• Being an articulate, inspiring and versatile communicator
• Completed CPA
• Experience leading audit engagements is a plus
