Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor role is a key part of the operations.

In this role you are a trusted guide for ensuring mechanical, electrical, and other plant based repairs and service are completed both on the production machinery but also on the physical building.

The successfully hired candidate will be a licensed red seal electrician or red seal millwright and leverage their past successes on the tools to be a good coach and trainer in the supervisor role. The hired person will understand the motivational tactics and communication style required to be effective in a strong union environment. Duties of the position include:

-Scheduling repairs and maintenance activities

-Issuing work orders

-Ordering parts and supplies

-Coaching and training staff

-Maintaining appropriate adherence to health and safety protocol

Requirements

-Red Seal Millwright or Red Seal Electrician (Journeyman provincially also ok)

-Leadership/supervision experience preferred. Preference to unionized environment.

-5 plus years experience working in production based manufacturing environment

-Excellent interpersonal skills, level headed personality, patient and professional temperament

-Strong verbal and written English

-Available for steady day shift and concessional on call work

-Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada
