Since 1987, Durapaint Industries has been an industry leading applicator of high-performance coatings on countless small to large scale architectural projects that span across the world. As a company, our quality and on time service has allowed both our customers and ourselves to grow at a rapid rate. Durapaint as a company employs over 250 people across both of our processing facilities.

We are currently seeking a qualified Industrial Mechanic Millwright to fill the role of Maintenance Supervisor for our sister processing facility in Brampton. The applicant is to manage the maintenance department that meets or exceeds the maintenance goals through a safe, efficient use of both human and physical resources available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform root cause analysis for malfunctioning or broken equipment, mechanical and electrical.
• Increase in production output by maintaining a high level of equipment uptime.
• Ensure all safety rules and policies are followed by employees and outside contractors.
• Train and guide staff on repairing and rebuilding equipment.
• Installation of new equipment and machinery.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs and documentation for various equipment.
• Repair production and building equipment to ensure they are in safe working order.
• Delegate, organize and co-ordinate with other maintenance staff to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are being completed.
• Hold employees accountable for scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, quality of work and safety.
• Work with upper management to secure outside and co-ordinate outside contractors regarding building maintenance work such as lawn care, snowplowing etc.
• Order spare parts and supplies when required.
• Train other members of maintenance staff.
• Maintain maintenance supply records.
• Uphold good housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.

Experience:

Candidate should have a working knowledge in 4 or more of the following categories:

• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Combustion Furnaces
• Electrical Equipment
• Welding and Fabrication
• PLCs
• Painting Equipment (bonus)

Education and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years practical experience of plant maintenance supervisory.
• A valid Millwright License 433A
• A valid Electrical License 309A or 442A
• Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed during weekends, holidays, off shift, and plant maintenance shutdowns.
• Team player, strong interpersonal skills and always looking to learn.
• Strong communication skills.
