Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager works directly with the Community Director to assist the strata manger and the strata council with various aspects of managing the Waterscapes strata property.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good organizational and time management skills
• The ability to function in a fast paced and changing environment
• Good communication skills
• Good maintenance skills and a good understanding of building maintenance
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• A positive and enthusiastic, hands-on approach and be driven by delivering exceptional client service

Key responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to the following:

· Take direction and provide maintenance and administrative support to the Community Director

· Property inspections to identify safety or security concerns, damages, repairs, maintenance needed

· Repair and maintenance of property such as waste removal, carpet cleaning, painting, monthly fire inspections, snow and ice maintenance, grounds clean up, etc.

· Pool and hot tub maintenance including chemical balancing and reports.

· Some weekend computer responsibilities.

Terms of Employment for the Assistant Manager

Must be willing to be on call for emergencies and provide relief for the Community Director.

Must be willing to provide strata council with a current criminal record check upon request.

Must be willing to sign an agreement to refrain from any use of illegal drugs.

Must be willing to have a personal cell phone with a data and voice plan.

Must have a valid driver’s license in the province of British Columbia.
