Job Description

Saatchi & Saatchi Canada is looking for a Long Form Writer to join their growing team. This individual will be part of a large and well-rounded team, working on our largest client, a reputable automotive brand.

This writer will be working with brand guidelines to help tell stories on their websites in support of various marketing initiatives and product launches.

Responsibilities:

• Write and edit materials for content, organization, grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, flow, style, formatting, and clarity of message

• Research as needed to develop content that meets client needs and effectively describes the personality and specifications of their product line and brand.

• Work with and understand client product marketing guides and specification documents from multiple sources in order to summarize and draft digestible web content.

• Brainstorm, develop or edit high-quality written content at a fast pace

• Develop and articulate ideas to support client campaigns and bring complimentary stories to life on their tier 1 websites.

• Support the team by helping to provide editorial insight of written content based on clients’ objectives

• Keep team members informed of any significant editorial concerns on specific jobs, organizes, prioritizes, and effectively manages workload

• Share what you know through coaching, developing and mentoring junior team members in writing, editing and storytelling.

• Be a conduit for teams in staying on the pulse on trending stories to help identify what is newsworthy and relevant across the various client industries

Qualifications

• 
  Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Writer and Editor

• Bachelors and/or Diploma in Communications, Journalism or related field is an asset

• Great team player and passionate about cross-company collaboration

• Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to write in various voices and tones from corporate to enterprise

• Superior time management and organizational abilities

• Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively manage all internal and external relationships, vendors and agency partners

• Detail oriented – cars can be specific & detailed, so must be comfortable getting into the weeds.

• Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment and work well under pressure
