Rimkus Consulting Group Canada, Inc. is hiring!

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Life Safety Specialist based in the Vaughan office. This position is a direct liaison between our clients and professional staff to promote and support Rimkus engineering, technical consulting, and expert witness services.

Responsibilities

• Applying familiarity with AODA, and the requirements in the Accessible Built Environment Standard (ABES).
• Coordinating with the design team internally as well as externally with Consultants / Architects / Clients / Contractors.
• Conducting site visits and preparing site reports.
• Applying knowledge of Ontario Building and Fire Codes.
• Applying knowledge of fire protection systems.
  

Qualifications

• College Diploma in fire safety and code or similar.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar / relevant position.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Outlook, Work, Excel.
• Good understanding of the application of the national and provincial Building and Fire Codes, with emphasis on Ontario.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems e.g., fire alarm, sprinkler and standpipe will be considered.
• Fluent in English.
