Vermilion Express is a family run Transportation company based out of Eastern Manitoba, with operations extending to Northwestern Ontario.

We are currently looking for a Truck & Coach Red Seal Mechanic to join our Shop in Vermilion Bay, Ontario. Due to it’s location away from our head operation in Manitoba, we offer free on-site Employee accommodations and provide travel compensation.

$1,000 Hiring Bonus at 3-Month and an additional $500 Tool and/or Boot Allowance.

As a family orientated operation, we would discuss specifics of schedule at time of interview to ensure a mutually balanced and beneficial rotation.

Duties & Responsibilities(Include, but are not limited to

• Complete accurate documented logs on assigned work orders, including follow-up work order as required, in a timely manner

• Diagnose, estimate and repair heavy duty truck/trailer units (Bush trucks and trailers)

• Perform preventative maintenance activities on heavy duty truck/trailer units

• Perform work in a clean and safe manner with a positive attitude

• Available to mentor shop labourers and apprentices in a collaborative environment

• Work closely with the Shop Manager to collaborate on growing the shop operations and constantly improving training.

• Commitment to getting jobs done efficiently with quality results

• Troubleshoot repairs, working with shop labourers for support

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $40.00 per hour
