Our client is a storied leader in the industrial and commercial refrigeration and manufacturing space. They are at the head of their class providing their customers with industry leading technology. They are growing and in need of a Lead Automation Engineer to oversee the national automation engineering team.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Engineering for a leading manufacturer of industrial manufacturing products. Working cross functionally with operations and engineering the Lead Automation Engineering will be responsible for the oversight of the national design team, development and operational success of the automation portfolio. You will work with key system integrators on the deployment of automation solutions.

You will assist business development team and customers to create and present automated solutions. And as the successful candidate you will demonstrate a proven ability to balance both the needs of the team, with the demands of the clients, efficiently and on budget.

Experience

• 8+ years of engineering leadership managing Automation Solutions
• 5+ years of management, preferably of teams larger than 10
• Experience in Solutions Development (Project assessment, network and process engineering, modeling, design and pricing)
• Strong business lead acumen, ability to provide cost effective business strategies, which maximize project profitability
• Vision of implementation to deliver repeatable, reliable solutions that meet the customers’ expectations
• Supervision of national team of automation engineers, operations, information systems
• Willingness to support the reengineering, renewal or scope change requirements of existing solutions by assisting the operating group with redesigns and process improvement initiatives
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent customer service liaising with various stakeholders in the updating and refinement of standard cost factors
• Ability to evaluate, select and utilize state of design programs, such as Allan Bradley
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (engineering, computer science, or related field)
