About the Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring material is properly handled, and assisting machining operations. This role requires knowledge of using tools, be physically capable of moving parts around the shop, and housekeeping.

Your Duties

• Assists Lathe Operators with any dressing or movement of parts.
• Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools and power tools.
• General housekeeping to ensure safe and clean work area.
• Handling weight up to 50 lbs.
• Supports the Shipper/Receiver with coordination during job progress.
• Complies with Force Inspection’s Health & Safety program and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

Your Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a Labourer environment an asset.
• Forklift ticket is an asset.
• Functional English reading and writing skills.
• Strong detail orientation; values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work.
• Process thinker, with high degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a timely and effective fashion.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Willing to work indoors and outdoors to meet company needs.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends to meet company needs.
• Jib crane, Band Saw or equivalent experience is an asset.
