Your Opportunity with Michels Canada

The Information Technology Support Analyst is the point of contact for Canadian company-wide IT support. This position provides exposure to a very broad range of IT skills and technologies and other responsibilities. Primary responsibility for responding to internal and remote requests via phone, email, and in person for all end-user solutions. The IT Support Analyst will interact with all levels of employment internally to resolve any technical issues. Solutions include but are not limited to; technologies such as computers, cell phones, mobile technologies; along with corporate solutions such as multi-functional devices and corporate phone systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
  • Responsible for end-user support, you will partner with our internal customers to resolve their IT issues. This includes challenges like password resets, adding a printer, navigating a server, installing or re-installing programs and assigning users to distribution lists to name a few
  • Configure, deploy, and train on standard end-user stand-alone and network connected systems to end user’s satisfaction
  • Support the development, testing and configuration of new end-user technologies
  • Grows general knowledge of current corporate, division, and facility-specific products, increasing ability to resolve requests on first contact
  • Works with members of the business system solutions and network & infrastructure teams within IT on issues and projects as needed
  • Provides accurate documentation of work performed using problem management, and other work management systems and tools used within the IT division
  • Provides after hours and on-call support as required
  • Maintains and protects confidentiality with regard to all aspects of IT solutions and information
  • Creates a positive customer support experience and builds strong relationships through deep problem understanding, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, communicating promptly on progress, and handling all employees with a consummately professional attitude
  • Participates as technical support for onboarding program for new hires (Computer/Laptop, Cell phone, Key Cards and Picture ID set up)
  • Identify areas for improvement to increase operational efficiency
  • Performs other IT duties as required and needed
  • Cell phone administration; MDM Management, compiling reports for Management & updating device profiles
  • Key card access administration
  • SharePoint Site Maintenance
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Minimum 3-5 year IT Help Desk/Support Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 & Office 365 products and recent experience installing, configuring, managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting
  • Familiar with Apple technologies
  • Experience with computer clean-up tools and processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure AD, Multifactor Authentication, Adobe Acrobat & SharePoint.
  • Basic knowledge in areas like Windows Servers, Active Directory, Networking, and Virtualization
  • Must possess a valid drivers license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the DOT Operations Director and Michels Legal Department
