Job Description:

  • The Solution Architect is a Subject Matter Expert who has advanced experience and applied theory in the services and products in either Digital Workplace Services or Infrastructure Services, processes, tools, and technologies necessary to create, design, and document a comprehensive solution for multifaceted opportunities.
  • This includes developing, communicating, and refining services and solutions across a broad range of Technologies.
  • Supports the planning, creation, design, and enablement of services that are required to support existing and emerging technologies.
  • Also supports the improvement of existing services and solutions.
  • In support of Solutioning and Sales, the Solution Architect solutions and/or transitions various opportunities, providing input into the sales strategy, and collaborates closely with clients and the pursuit team to assure that the client portfolio and capabilities, as well as industry trends, are utilized in creating a compelling solution.
  • The Solution Architect typically supports solutions within multiple related services and products that may involving complicated operational models (multiple towers, global scope), extensive client engagement, and strategic opportunities with significant financial and business impact.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design implementable and customer compelling, steady state solutions which address client business problems and accurately reflect client’s cost to deliver the services and meet all requirements, including SLAs, KPIs, and OLAs.
  • Work with Solution Director in support of the end-to-end solution strategy.
  • Deliverables include completed cost estimates (using cost estimator tools), proposals, presentations (prepare, contribute to, and/or deliver), and SOWs (contribute to).
  • Work collaboratively with clients, third party advisors, sales, other solution team members, finance, and delivery SMEs to ensure the solutions meet client requirements and are approved.
  • Communicate developed solution and associated costs to various stakeholders from engineers up to C-level executives (both customer and client).?
  • Attend, assist, and present at client orals, create and deliver or coordinate client demos, participate in pursuit team kickoff meetings, attend Solution Services team meetings, follow administrative processes, and participate in internal team projects.
  • Responsible for engaging with and managing interactions with appropriate delivery subject matter experts.
  • Participate in creating and/or updating solution document templates, presentations, solution descriptions, costing estimates, SOWs, and related deliverables. Update information within Salesforce.
  • Create technical and operational responses and solution content for RFPs.
  • Responsible for written Technical Solution Document (TSD) as required per customer response documents.
  • Identify and articulate potential technical, delivery and financial risks in technical solutions, transition, and delivery.
  • Assist with developing appropriate mitigations and coordinate capture of and communicate all risks to the Solution Director.
  • Participate in all knowledge sharing sessions for developed solutions to review technical aspects as required.
  • Practice continuous learning through certifications, attending company and/or industry training, reviewing existing client delivery, gaining experiential exposure to company toolsets and delivery teams, and working closely with Delivery SMEs.
  • Serve as a Mentor in their areas of expertise

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Supporting certifications in Enterprise or Solutions architecture
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Messaging Administrator Associate, Teamwork Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate
  • VMware Certified Professional in End User Computing, Desktop Management, Digital Workspace
  • Apple Certified IT Professional Deployment and Management
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, Teamwork Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate
  • Cisco CCNA, Cisco, CCNP Enterprise/Security/Collaboration/Data Center
  • AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Security Specialty
  • VMware Certified Professional in Endpoint and Workload Security, Data Center Virtualization, Network Virtualization, Cloud Management and Automation, VMware Cloud, Cloud Operations
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • 8 years of SME with at least three of the following enabling technologies and outsourcing managed services: Digital Workplace lifecycle services, End User Enabling technologies, Cloud solutions supporting the delivery of EUC (including but not limited to Email, EIM, end Point Security, Local PC Backup & Restore, Centralized File Storage, End Point Security).
  • 8 years in participating in teams providing end-to-end solution architecture support and guidance to solution development and implementation teams.
  • 8 years in current state assessment, planning and designing of new platforms and applications.
  • 8 years participating in teams that development, documentation, and implementation of design patterns in alignment with enterprise standards, development of blueprints and reference architectures.

Technology Skills – Cloud/Infrastructure (3 or more)

  • Advanced experience with technologies and products that support cloud and data center estates.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cloud technologies, Enterprise storage systems, replication technologies and DR architectures.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of virtualization solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Backup and Recovery solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Center server and blade technologies.
  • Ability to provide professional documentation (diagrams, specifications, technical requirements, proposals).

OR

Technology Skills – Digital Workplace/End User Compute

  • Advanced experience with technologies and products that support Digital Workplace estates.
  • Advanced knowledge of End User Cloud technologies.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Managed Digital Workplace and Enterprise Mobility solutions.
  • Ability to provide professional documentation (diagrams, specifications, technical requirements, proposals).
